What works offline and what does not?
Solving works offline: any puzzle already downloaded to the device opens and plays with no connection, with hints, zoom and progress saving intact. Downloading new images from the curated library and generating images with AI both need a connection. The practical rule for a flight is simple — download the puzzles you want while you still have WiFi, and everything else works at 35,000 feet.
How do I get puzzles ready before a flight or a long drive?
Open the collections while you are still on WiFi and download the images you want to play. If you want AI-generated or restyled images on the trip, generate them before you leave — once they are in your library, they behave like any other downloaded puzzle. Set your piece counts to taste and you are done.
Is this a good option for travelling with a tablet?
It is one of the better ones, for a specific reason: there is nothing in the app that tries to phone home mid-session. No ad loads, no connection prompt, no "reconnect to continue" wall. A puzzle at 200 pieces holds attention on a long journey without needing signal, and a night theme plus a calmer board background makes it comfortable in a dim cabin or car.
Does progress survive being offline?
Yes. Progress on a puzzle is stored on the device as you go and syncs to your account the next time you have a connection, if you are signed in. Closing the app or losing signal does not lose the board.

Only when you are downloading new images or generating with AI. Solving a downloaded puzzle uses no data at all.
